Objective and Summary :
To teach private trumpet students, as well as Jazz students. My background has both Classical and Jazz playing experiences. I’m comfortable teaching beginning lessons to more advanced students. I’ve held college jobs at Villa Maria, Oswego State, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College and was a Grad. Assistant at both DePaul University and Michigan State.
I’ve instructed Applied Jazz, Jazz Arranging, Jazz History, Aural comprehension and Jazz Improvisation. Co-led the Downbeat-winning College Jazz Big Band and directed Jazz combos. Experienced in coaching Classical chamber ensembles and have taught Applied Trumpet. Skilled jazz improviser with studio trumpet experience.
Also taught history of Rock and Roll for 10 years at GCC, Oswego State and Western Michigan University.
